Hello and welcome to my interpretation of this edition of the SIA challenge.
About Style Imitating Art
Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar of 14 Shades of Grey, Daenel of Living Outside the Stacks and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of us selects an inspiration image and we each post the image on our blogs. The following Monday we share our art-inspired outfits. The following Wednesday, the curator shares all of the submissions on her blog.
This Round’s Presenter
Today, Daenel of Living Outside the Stacks is the curator.
This Week’s Inspirational Image
Daenel has chosen Heather, Sweet Peas and Butterfly, Anonymous, British, 19th century British. She chose this tapestry because she loves butterflies and hasn’t seen any lately.
My Take

Alas, I didn’t have any butterflies anywhere so settled for the purple Heather with this this semi-sheer Liz Claiborne blouse thrifted at Goodwill. My geode necklace also helps out with the purple. There’s a lot of neutral in the background and so added white jeans and a white bag and chose an off white background.
These are all things I’ve had in my closet for quite a while.
Will You Join In the Fun?
I hope this art inspires you to create a look and that you will join us. Send a photo of your SIA inspired outfit along with a small blurb on how you were inspired to Daenel whose email is livingoutsidethestacks@gmail.com by Tuesday, June 8th (tomorrow). She share the submissions on her blog on Wednesday, June 9th.
Anyone can participate and you certainly do not have to have a blog.
If you do share your inspirations on Instagram use the hashtag #StyleImitatingArt so we know you are there. You can also tag us in the images. Our Instagram names are: terrigardner_meadowtree, daenelt and 14shadesofgrey.

What a pretty blouse, Terri! The colors are so perfect to reflect the painting. I love how summery it is, too, with all the white.

Thank you, Shelbee. I have to admit that I just really didn’t have anything else. The problem with this blouse is that it may look summery but it’s hot as the dickens. I thrifted it and think it will eventually get re-donated.

What a perfect interpretation. That blouse is what I was hoping to find in my closet when I went looking for my outfit! Ha! And it wasn’t there. Love the floaty light fabric and the delicate print. Gorgeous necklace, too. Is it heavy?

Thank you-It ‘s a good Spring top, being what I would describe as a polyester voile. Being Poly, it is hot-nothing that I could wear in the Summer. I am always vacillating between keeping it or sending it back to the thrift shop. So far I’ve kept it-being such a pretty color and pattern.

What a pretty blouse. The colors are so so fabulous and, I think, would attract so many butterflies.

Yes, you would think it would-but I do grow Butterfly Bushes so I do have that one covered. But, I also haven’t seen very many butterflys this year-so sad.

I just read your reply to Shelbee’s comment about the blouse being really warm. It’s a shame because it looks so lovely for the summer! I’m loving the print and the colours. I don’t have any butterflies either (apart from some black earrings which just didn’t go with my outfit at all) so I had to forget that element! I love the white jeans and the handbag too!
