Halston (American, Des Moines, Iowa 1932–1990 San Francisco, California) started out as a milliner before he crossed over to ready-to-wear. He designed this silk up turned brim hat in 1965 for Bergdorf Goodman.

Today’s white and gold French boots were manufactured by Dupuis-Jacobs for the store Kingsbury in 1874. They accessorize a gold and lithe moss green dress that I have included with the second photo.
Gold Buttons are set off against an open strapped front for a very light feeling and perfect for an evening look. If you notice, one boot’s straps are edged in gold and one in matched white leather. Are they possible from different pairs?
They set was a gift of Mrs. Arthur L. Swift in 1962.

Today’s wool dress is from American Christian Francis Roth’s first collection in 1989. Titled the dress-form dress (1989), this wool jersey dress has an illusionistic inset collar, cuffs, and belt.
In 1990, a week after his first show at the age of 21, Christian Francis Roth was heralded by Women's Wear Daily as Seventh Avenue's latest boy wonder.
In the 1990s Roth closed his couture business in favor of lower-priced clothing and worked designing for Nordstrom’s and Anne Klein. This 1885 British silk tea gown by Liberty of London stands out from the highly decorated garments that were popular during the late Victorian age.
In 1884, Liberty & Co. hired Edward William Godwin, an architect and proponent of Aesthetic dress and dress reform, to head their new costume department. This tea gown, with its light corseting and bustle is a more fashionable adaptation of the Aesthetic style. This is an early example of Liberty clothing, which is executed in the company's distinctive light and supple silks.

Today’s fashion is linen American cotton morning cap from 1830 and our second morning cap of the month. .
This elegant cap would have been worn primarily at home in the early part of the day as an informal head covering, prior to donning the more formal structured bonnets required for the afternoon or evening. It follows the same silhouette as the period's fashionable hats and bonnets constructed of more rigid materials such as straw.

Jean Patou’s (French, 1880–1936) silk evening dress from 1931 is an example the new simple and refined Parisian evening silhouette of the 1930s. The fabric is hand-painted silk satin. Part of the design was a small cape, which created a more versatile that could take one from dinner to dancing.
