Hello and welcome to a new round of Style Imitating Art.
Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar of 14 Shades of Grey, Shelbee of Shelbee On the Edge, and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of us selects an inspirational image and we each post the image on our blogs. The following Monday we share our art-inspired outfits. The following Wednesday, the curator shares all of the submissions on her blog.
This Week’s Curator
This round is created by Shelbee. She has selected beadwork by contemporary Cherokee artist, Martha Berry. She has given us three pieces to consider. They have a strong visual contrast, using black (in general) to create contrast with bright and white beadwork. Some of these art pieces take over three hundred hours to complete.

I love Shelbee’s selections and already have something in mind-the base is black, right? That half of my closet!
Have Some Fun & Join Us
Go and take a look in your closet and see what you have. Put something together and send it to Shelbee at shelbeeontheedge@gmail.com by a week from tomorrow, March 14th.
I think that’s it for now,
Happy Styling!

These pieces are gorgeous. I’m going to have to go diving to find something that will do them justice!

I agree, they are gorgeous. This round, I immediately knew what I was going to do-won’t be super creative, but fits the bill.
